What Is the Keen Jasper Zionic?
The Jasper is one of Keen's longest-running bestsellers, a climbing-inspired shoe that traces its roots back to the Carver climbing shoe from 2008. That's where the suede upper, tongue-to-toe lacing and the little flower detail on the heel come from.
The Jasper Zionic takes that classic Jasper upper and puts it on the outsole from Keen's Zionic, a lightweight fast-hiking shoe. The result is a hybrid that looks clean enough for everyday wear but has proper trail-ready grip underneath, with 4mm multi-directional lugs, a contoured athletic fit and a heel crash pad to soak up impact. It's the version of the Jasper we reach for most on the shop floor, and it's been a firm favourite with Patina customers since it first landed.

Earthy and understated, the Java/Black pairs a coffee-brown suede upper with black detailing. Can I wear suede Keens in the rain?
The outsole handles wet ground well, but suede is best protected before it gets soaked. Give them a coat of suede protector before the first wear, let them dry naturally if they get wet, then brush the nap back up.
