About Deus Ex Machina
Deus Ex Machina was founded in Sydney in 2006 by Dare Jennings, the man who co-founded the Australian surf and art label Mambo. It started life in a workshop in Camperdown, building custom motorcycles, and quickly grew into something bigger: a mix of motorcycle garage, café, surf shop and clothing brand, all under one roof. Today Deus has spaces around the world, from Bali to Los Angeles, Milan and Japan, but that original spirit of motorcycles, surf, art and good times still runs through every collection.
That's what makes Deus clothing different. It isn't designed to look like it belongs in a garage or on a beach. It comes from people who actually spend their weekends there.
AW26 Outerwear: Common State & Ryder Jackets
The standout piece of the drop is the Common State Jacket in Overdyed Anthracite Grey. It's cut in an oversized, boxy blouson shape from heavyweight cotton canvas, then overdyed and given a heavy enzyme stone wash, so it looks and feels broken-in from day one. Big bellowed flap pockets, a zip front with a storm guard, adjustable cuffs and hem, and Deus art labels on the pocket and sleeve finish it off. It's cut to work for both men and women.
For something a little more classic, the Ryder Work Bomber Jacket in Khaki is an unlined workwear bomber with a canvas outer shell in a polyester and cotton mix. It comes with embroidered art at the chest, welt and sleeve patch pockets, adjustable hem and cuffs, and the same heavy enzyme stone wash. It's an easy layer for autumn that'll take you right through to spring.
AW26 T-Shirts: Heavy Recycled Cotton OS Tees
The Deus tees this season are some of the best we've carried. The OS (oversized) styles are cut from a heavy recycled cotton rugby jersey, so they have real weight and structure, and every one gets a heavy enzyme stone wash for that faded, vintage feel. Each has printed art on the chest and back.
